UPDATE: In Memoriam: Vice National Commander John Halecky, Jr. – Archon News Article

Dear Brother Archons,

It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the passing of our beloved National Vice Commander John Halecky, Jr., Archon Ekdikos, who fell asleep in the Lord earlier this morning on December 22 at 11:05 a.m. . His contributions to the Order of St. Andrew and to the Ecumenical Patriarchate have been extraordinary. He served with distinction on the National Council for decades, including in the leadership positions of National Secretary and Vice National Commander. His Carpatho-Russian lineage brought invaluable ecumenism to the Order of St. Andrew, as it always provided essential insight into the Slavic jurisdictions of the Ecumenical Patriarchate. Archon John was invested as Archon on July 20, 1982.

Details of the visitation, funeral and burial are listed below.

Maria joins me and the entire Order of St. Andrew in expressing our deepest condolences to the beloved wife of Archon John and our dear friend Sonia and their dear children Archon John Halecky, III and Nadine (Dr. Silvio Quaglia) and to the whole family, with unwavering faith in our Lord and Savior and with hope in his resurrection!
