Where to watch the stream, schedule the countdown (August 20 update)
The Genshin Impact The version 2.1 live stream will take place on JRPG’s Twitch channel on August 20. At 9 a.m. EST / 6 a.m. PST. Click here for conversions to other time zones. And here’s a countdown. The flow should be a little less than an hour.
Note that the feed will also be displayed on the Genshin Impact official YouTube channel. But only three hours after the Twitch stream.
Genshin Impact Live content from version 2.1
Here’s what to expect in streaming. First, we’ll hear which banner comes first between The Raiden Shogun or Sangonomiya Kokomi. According to information taken from the version 2.1 beta test, the Shogun will be the first. But these things are always subject to change.
Live stream 2.1 is also expected to reveal the latest islands in the Inazuma region, as well as new Archon quests, new weekly and world bosses, and the fishing system. Several new events will also be introduced. A special trailer for Aloy from Horizon must also be revealed.
Finally, miHoYo should detail plans for the first anniversary of Genshin Impact on this stream. We will also get the usual Primogems redemption codes.

MiHoYo Partners With Twitch To Genshin showcases
From version to version 1.6, the Genshin Impact The live broadcasts in English all took place on YouTube. However, since version 1.7 / 2.0 and the launch of Inazuma, it appears that Twitch and miHoYo have teamed up for an exclusive contract. The live stream 2.1 won’t be released until a few hours later on YouTube.
Also, the fact that the English stream is running simultaneously with the Chinese stream on Bilibili means that I and the other translators no longer need to translate live. (In my case, I would do it from the official Japanese Twitter summary). Either way, stay tuned as we’ll be covering all the juicy bits of the stream.
Genshin Impact is available on PC, PS4, PS5, iOS and Android. A Nintendo Switch version is also in development. Genshin Impact Version 2.1 is expected to launch on September 1, 2021.
