Fox News Media Creates Team for New Continuous Weather Service – Deadline

Fox News Media has announced a team of six meteorologists who will appear on its new streaming weather service, Fox Weather.

The new hires will anchor the coverage of the head office in New York.

They include Jason Frazer, who is from WKYC-TV in Cleveland, who will serve as the morning news co-host; Britta Merwin, of KPRC-TV in Houston, who will be another co-host for the morning.

Also in attendance will be Craig Herrera, most recently at KING-TV in Seattle, who will be co-host of key blocks of programming, with Brigit Mahoney, who will appear in the main time slots. She attended KTVI-TV in St. Louis. Another hire is Stephen Morgan, most recently with KRIV-TV in Houston, who will co-host on major programming blocks.

Nick Kosir, known as “Dancing Weatherman”, will co-host the evening’s programming, with 2 million followers on TikTok and Instagram. He’s from WJZY-TV in Charlotte, NC. One of her videos premiered at the Lil Nas X open at the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards

The service will launch later this year. The network announced the ad-supported streaming service in December, with plans to mix up local, regional and national updates. Heading the service is Sharri Berg, who is president in addition to being chief operating officer of news and operations for Fox television stations.
