Alpha News Stream, Financial Headline Cloud API, Launches Customer-Oriented, Developer-Friendly Website

SAN FRANCISCO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Alpha News Stream (ANS), a highly customizable, cloud-delivered API newsfeed, today launched a website portal where investors, fintechs, businesses and other organizations can easily use the service.

The ANS API organizes corporate and financial headlines in English from more than 350 web news sources worldwide, through their public RSS feeds and the ANS search engine, adding useful metadata before stream from the Amazon AWS cloud.

Companies covered include those from all sectors of the NASDAQ, NYSE, TSX and FT 100 exchanges. The feed also includes North American press releases from Business Wire, PR Newswire, CNW Group, Globe Newswire and Accesswire.

With this new customer-facing website, developers and other professionals can receive an API key to access a 30-day free trial of: https://alphanewsstream.com. Alpha News Stream streams over 12,000 headlines on a US trading day and over 5,000 on weekends or holidays.

Battle-tested and enterprise-ready: Although self-service website access to Alpha News Stream is new, its API has been used by companies, investors and fintech organizations for more than five years thanks to ANS’ reseller relationship with Xignite, Inc.a pioneer in delivering market data APIs.

“When it was time to upgrade our financial headlines service, we chose Alpha News Stream over established players because of its ease of integration and wider range of news sources,” comments Stéphane. Dubois, founder and CEO of Xignite, Inc., a subsidiary of Forbes. Fintech Company 50. “Designed to meet our unique needs, Alpha News Stream keeps our institutional and Fintech clients up to date on North American stock and financial headlines, with 99.99% uptime.”

Xignite recently won a prestigious Price Inside Market Data for best real-time data initiative for his work with digital personal finance company SoFi. This initiative included news headlines curated by Alpha News Stream.

ANS’ proprietary news platform aggregates news headlines, categorizes them by content, then adds data points to each headline, including – where applicable – stock symbol, sector/sub -sector, IPTC categories and information source paywall designations.

Personalized curation: ANS data points give developers the flexibility to create multiple news apps. For organizations that want a highly personalized newsfeed with specific news sources and keywords, ANS can create a proprietary newsfeed available only to that customer. This helps organizations to follow only the desired financial news on the web.

“We are still only at the beginning of a Fintech-fueled revolution as more and more organizations move from legacy technologies to the ease of integration and lightweight implementation of cloud APIs,” comments Frank Cioffi, founder and president of Alpha News Stream. “With our background in news curation, we started by focusing on a niche – financial headlines on the web – bringing human editorial news selection to an automated financial headlines feed.”

An early precursor to the ANS developed by Cioffi is Tech Investor News, a free and constantly updated consumer website displaying select company headlines and technology industry topics. TIN’s Information Gathering System, an earlier version of the current ANS Enterprise Platform, has received positive reviews from journalists at Barron’s, Mashable and Tech Crunch, among others. The site is located at https://www.techinvestornews.com.

Alpha News Stream is a private company based in Marin County, California, just north of San Francisco.
